Everyone tells you that when you have children, the time just flies. And it's true. Not when I think about just today or this week. But remembering everything along the way... What's truly big for me is to look at the toddlers I have now. They know at least 6 songs by heart, can say 100+ words, put 4 and 5 words together to make sentences, and are just these little people with likes and dislikes, they can tell you "Mommy, I don't like it," they ask "What's Daddy doing?" and politely say "Scooze me, Sissy" (excuse me, sissy), can tell you what they'd like for breakfast "I want waffle, Mommy," and on, and on, and on. They love doing puzzles, watching "Elmo" (Sesame Street), cooking in their kitchen, playing in their tent, filling their backpacks with various toys, play food, little babies, books, etc. Kennedy calls it her "p-pack." They still enjoy books and pushing their babies in the stroller. And they love the miniature Strawberry Shortcake dolls. We have at least six, because both girls must have "two babies" whenever they play with them. So funny. They are busy and sweet and sassy and loving and hilarious. They bring pure joy and excitement to our lives daily. They love to snuggle and give lots of hugs & kisses. They have good manners and always say please, thank you, excuse me, and sorry. They are great eaters. They aren't the best nappers, but sleep pretty well at night. They say their prayers before bedtime and thank Jesus for all the family members by name, plus their teacher and friends at school. Lately, they both seem to have a crush on their Uncle Justin :-) They run up and down the hall and giggle. "Mere, sissy" (Come here, sissy) They love bath time and like to hold hands and sing together. They have begun the "twin speak" that other moms of twins have told me about. It's adorable. They just jibber-jabber and laugh. They make my heart happy.
We had a small gathering of family for their birthday and it was perfect. Cathy's (Mimi) dad was in town as well and it was fun. We also celebrated at Thanksgiving with my parents and a few days before with Aunt Emme. Here are some photos:

You notice who is on the cake - I think it's so cool that Mimi found this swing with "twin" Strawberry Shortcakes... the girls loved it!
